Isla San Pedro Nolasco (San Pedro Nolasco Island) is a fascinating world where sea lions, fish, hundreds of marine birds, and many other marine creatures coexist in their own safe environment.

It is also home to some of the best diving in the world. Those who dive the gentle waters around the island will discover a marvelous habitat with multicolored animal and plant species. Although probably best known for it's sea lion population that will be more than happy to dive right along side of you, the island also plays host to some fascinating life beneath the water too. The water is clear, and the diving is great. All sorts of marine life call the warm waters below home. During the spring, gray whales come to the coast. They'll come so close you can actually touch them. The diving around the island is so diverse, no matter how many times you return, you'll never grow bored. There is never a shortage of new adventures.

San Pedro Nolasco Island is easily accessible from practically everywhere that you might be in the San Carlos area. If you are at Cañon Las Barajitas, the island is a mere 35 minutes' travel by boat. The island is a favorite stop of El Duque Dive Trips. The Island is located northeast of San Carlos bay. As you can see on from the map on right, the island is easily accessible both from San Carlos and from Cañon Las Barajitas.
